Local feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with Canterbury-Bankstown Mayor Bilal El-Hayek praising the initiative: “These activations have been a great way to brighten up the area while involving women in the design of our community spaces.”

With this project, Parkitect Australia continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality pump tracks that foster inclusive, safe, and exciting environments for all.

Project Summary

As part of the Safer Cities: Her Way program, this installation is designed to support increased participation in outdoor play for women and girls, with a focus on accessibility and safety. The 38-metre-long Classic Edition Speed Ring Modular Pumptrack, installed in 2024, features 32 separate modules and is designed to be both durable and flexible. This track is ideal for community spaces, thanks to its lightweight and easy-to-reconfigure design, which allows it to be moved around the area as needed.

The project was a collaboration between Transport for NSW and the City of Canterbury Bankstown, one of 10 councils working to enhance female engagement in public spaces. The pump track’s modular nature means it can be quickly set up and easily moved, making it a perfect solution for local councils looking to create engaging play spaces for women and girls in urban environments.
